U.S. Luger Kate Hansen Cries Wolf in Sochi

The presence of stray dogs has been a common complaint among the journalists and athletes staying in Sochi during the Winter Games.

But on Thursday, U.S. luger Kate Hansen made headlines when she spotted what she thought was a wolf roaming around the corridor of her hotel.

"Wolf in my hall?!? #SochiProblems #SochiFail," Hansen wrote Thursday on her Twitter account, alongside footage of the canine that she filmed through the cracks of her door.

"I'm pretty sure this is a wolf wandering my hall in Sochi," said a description of the video, which was uploaded to YouTube.

The post quickly went viral, gaining 505 re-tweets within a couple of hours, with some followers expressing incredulity and others pointing out it could have been a husky — a more docile relative of the wolf.
