Medvedev to Visit Italy

President Dmitry Medvedev will join 40 world leaders in Italy this week for a celebration marking the 150th anniversary of Italy's unification.

Medvedev will arrive in Rome on Wednesday for the two-day working visit, which will include meetings with Italian President Giorgio Napolitano and Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, Interfax reported Monday.

The highlight will be the anniversary celebrations with a military parade attended by dignitaries including Austrian Chancellor Heinz Fischer, King Mohammed VI of Morocco, Turkish President Abdullah Gul, Chilean President Sebastian Pinera, Israeli President Shimon Peres and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
