Testimonials

"The Moscow Times is an essential part of the morning routine and I usually read it with my first cup of tea. It's very informative politically & economically for those doing business in Russia, the additional columns are superb and I guess it's about the only newspaper in Moscow which is uncensored."

Market Matters: Struggling Stocks Spur New Record Oil Prices
Oil hit another record of just under $143 as global stocks tumbled last week, with the Dow briefly dipping into bear market territory as investors sought safety in gold, government debt and the Swiss franc.

Exhibition "Children and the City", The Moscow Times at Art Moskva

16 May 2008

In the framework of the international art fair ART Moskva, which is being held from the 14th to the 18th of May 2008 at the Central House of Artists on Krimsky Val, The Moscow Times presents an exhibition of works by the newspaper's photo correspondents, Igor Tabākov and Vladimir Filonov.  The exhibition is organized with the support of ZAO Unified Financial Group INVEST, which is a part of the group of companies UFG Asset Management (UFG
AM).   Since its foundation, the company has actively supported credible
social projects.

The Moscow Times has more than once presented the works of its own photo correspondents, Vladimir Filonov and Igor Tabākov, in connection with Russian and International projects. In the opinion of the photographers, the most difficult, but at the same time the most rewarding photography is that of children. What would seem to be the reason to photograph a child, what does it refer to in life? Just a second ago he was here. Pointing out an objective, but his is like no others.  And you can get this from the frame, how much light and sincerity is reflected in merely one stroke faded by the sun's rays and a fleeting look.  The changing and restless world of children becomes the theme of the charming photo exhibition "Children and the City".
