The Moscow Times - Partner of the Person of the Year Awards

04 March 2008On the 20th of February, an awards ceremony for the winners of the prize International Person of the Year 2007 was held in Petrovsky Hall of the Kremlin Palace. By the decision of the independent council of experts, this year the highest Russian public award was given to 31 people. The list of winners included politicians, businessmen and community leaders. The Grand Prix was awarded to Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Viktor Zubkov, General Director of "Gazprominvestholding" Alisher Usmanov, General Director of Aeroflot Airlines Valery Okulov and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nemiroff Holding Alexander Glus.

Among the guests and participants of the ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, First Deputy Mayor of Moscow Yury Roslyak, Head of Pochta Rossii Andrei Kazmin, General Director of IG Renaissance Capital in Russia Ruben Aganbegyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors IK Troika Dialog Andrei Sharonov, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Dmitry Mezentsev, national artist of the USSR Galina Vishnevskaya, Chairman of the Board of Directors Wimm-Bill-Dann David Yakobashvili, member of the board of directors Alfa Bank Alexander Gafin, General Director of the Center for Political Technologies Igor Bunin and other recognizable faces.
